“I can’t say enough great things about Kallie! When my daughter was little I was able to ask her, as first a friend and then with my daughter as her patient, what was going on with my daughter since speech issues were new for me as a parent. She guided me in the right direction and provided me with many resources to work towards improving my daughter’s speech. She helped us navigate through Rady’s Speech program, with her as our SLP, and through the school district. Kallie is very knowledgeable and works so well with children. My daughter absolutely loves her and has made huge improvements. Kallie is kind, generous, patient and an experienced SLP that I would highly recommend to anyone.” – Kimmy Leighton
“When our daughter was almost 2, she was exemplifying similar lack of communication as my older son (7 at the time) when he was her age. Turning down the opportunity to pursue speech therapy for him when he was 2 was a big mistake. He now struggles with reading comprehension and still has a hard time communicating. When we saw our almost 2 year old daughter having similar characteristics, we decided to pursue speech therapy with Kallie. When we brought her to Kallie for the first time, she had about 5 words in her vocabulary. She was a thumb-sucker and always preferred to use sounds or pointing when she tried to communicate. After meeting with Kallie once a week for a few weeks, we started seeing tremendous improvement in how our daughter was communicating. She quickly learned to sign 10-15 words, and her frustration to communicate lessened. Over the course of the next several months, her signs turned into words. Now she’s five, and the most talkative child of the 4 that we have. We are so thankful for Kallie’s help!” – Jeanette Cantor
“We met Kallie when our daughter was 3. We had an articulation issue and Kallie came up with a therapy program that was fun and engaging. Our daughter is now 7 and ready to graduate from the speech program at her elementary school. We are so grateful to Kallie for her early intervention!” – Amelia Polheber
“Kallie is an experienced and caring speech therapist. She always made my son’s sessions fun as well as therapeutic. He always looked forward to seeing her. She also had us (parents) participate in therapy so we could carry over what he had learned at home. I work in the medical field and I would highly recommend Kallie!” – Kristin Pfefferkorn
“Kallie went above and beyond our expectations and guided my 3 year old to progress in his speech therapy in a fun, light hearted way.
Kallie played with my son while she taught him how to form words. She has a very trained methodical approach and we received detailed reports after each session.
She assisted in recommending pre schools to us and continually checked in for updates regarding my son being accepted to a local speech therapy school.
We are so glad we found Roots Speech Therapy!” – KB
